How to Live
Each of us has our own unique path.
In the Vedic Tradition, we say that each individual has their own dharma, their own purpose and role within the process of Evolution.
The more we live our own dharma, the more frictionless life is.
So when we experience less friction, that’s how we know we’re on the right path.
Frictionless does not mean non-action or non-effort. In fact, there can be quite a bit of activity involved. However, it is performed in an inspirational way.
As meditators, we locate our path through the mechanism of following charm. Charm does not require ratification from our intellect. Instead, it is something we detect on the intuitive level.

Rearranging Reality
Reality is not weak. It is our perception of it that is weak.
Specifically, it is a weakness of perception that yields anything other than Unity, or Oneness.
A wave is already connected to the Ocean. The Ocean is the source of the wave. Without the Ocean, the wave simply wouldn’t exist.

Ignorance and Realization
Whether through accumulated stress or the mechanism of social conditioning, we may have become habituated to the practice of ignoring subtle changes.

Meditation: The Coherent State
Luckily we don’t have to take steroids in order to improve our brain functioning. Regular meditation is all the juice we need.
When water boils, the water molecules move helter-skelter, quite rapidly. But when water freezes, the molecules arrange themselves into that near-perfect, matrix-like crystalline structure we call ice. De-excitation – in this case induced through the cooling process – gives rise to greater orderliness.

Meditation: The Problem with Transcendence
Everyone who learns Vedic or Transcendental Meditation loves the experience of transcendence (where no more thoughts are entered into the head and you are just sitting in pure silence, contentment, and bliss without reacting to internal or external influencers). It’s new, it’s different, and actually quite unique. It seems like the more we meditate, the more transcendence we should experience.
But there is a problem with transcendence.

The Whole Purpose of Meditation
Every thought we have is a stream of energy and intelligence. We know thoughts are energy because they can be measured as electrical impulses via an electroencephalogram (EEG). And, we know thoughts have intelligence because each one is about something very specific.

Too Much Thinking
Present moment awareness is a state of Being and not a state of the intellect.
In fact, countless amounts of suffering are caused by one common condition: too much thinking.
One who is living pure Being (one result of a stress free physiology) doesn’t wonder, doesn’t speculate, and doesn’t hatch contingency plans.
When we truly live in the present moment, action occurs spontaneously and in accordance with the need of the time. It is action which promotes the greatest Evolution to the whole.

Beneath the Surface
Meditation takes us beneath and below our daily worries and concerns
to a place of inner rejuvenation, from which we return refreshed and renewed.
All our stresses are completely forgotten, and we begin to cultivate Bliss.
Below the choppy surface of thought is a world of inner calm. To dive deep we need the proper orientation, and in this practice our mantra is the orienting device. Like an anchor or a touchstone, we keep coming back to the mantra whenever interrupted by thought, emotion or sensation, and have a neutral attitude toward how many times a return is needed.

Unstressing Is Good
Unstressing is good.
We need unstressing because it is the only way to get rid of our stresses.
In our meditation, what causes us to unstress is the use of the mantra. The mantra brings our awareness into a less excited state, which brings the body into that less excited state. Then, the body starts releasing stress. Our mantra is the anchor, pulling us inward.

Meditation: No Dark Side
Whenever asked about his own level of consciousness, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi would reply, “We’re doing just fine, thanks.”

Unacceptable Levels examines the results of the chemical revolution of the 1940s through the eyes of affable filmmaker Ed Brown, a father seeking to understand the world in which he and his wife are raising their children. To create this debut documentary, one man and his camera traveled extensively to find and interview top minds in the fields of science, advocacy, and law. Weaving their testimonies into a compelling narrative, Brown presents us with the story of how the chemical revolution brought us to where we are, and of where, if we’re not vigilant, it may take us.
